Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a hard forked version of the original Bitcoin. Almost all aspects of the protocol are the same as Bitcoin except the frequency where the difficulty is adjusted and the size of the blocks. The hard fork was originally proposed by the Via BTC Mining Pool and Bitmain mining groups. This protocol was implemented as an alternative to the main Bitcoin network’s protocol proposal called Segwit2X.
Larger Block size (up to 32MB)
Good compatibility with existing Bitcoin wallet
Name /Branding recognition of Bitcoin
Difficulty is adjusted every 6 blocks
Good liquidity and is ranked as a top coin
Most of the technology is the same as Bitcoin however with BCH the block size initially started at 8MB compared to 1MB of Bitcoin. This size has since increased to 32MB to allow for even greater scalability and the capacity to run smart contracts. The core development team and majority of the miners of the protocol have been working together from the inception of the idea. This has made it much easier for the group to reach consensus
